Disclaimer, I just got out of a 2013 Jeep Unlimited Rubicon. It was loaded with all the options for the model at the time. But why get rid of it you ask? Family is expanding is my answer and the Sequoia delivers! My Jeep was heavily modified, so the gas was surprisingly better in the Sequoia ... Winning!!! More room with both reclining Captain’s Chairs and third row seats ... also winning. Toyota’s legendary reliability (over Jeep’s, but my Rubicon rocked!) and the 5.7 .... Mic Drop! The ride is fantastic and this has all the bells, whistles, and technology I need or can shake a stick at. IMHO, makes Edmund’s ratings and commentary seem ... welp, snobbish? This is may not be for everyone ... but it’s a fine vehicle indeed. Nice Job Toyota!

Sequoia
Okay it is an excellent car to go offroad with unlike the 2020 nissan armamda. It has better cargo space and for a vehicle this big it is quite smooth

Love this generation Sequoia
I've had quite a few cars in my 45 years and tend to trade them out pretty often. In the last few years, I've had a Raptor, 2 TRX's, Rebel, Lexus LX, LC, ES. I'm not easily satisfied when it comes to vehicles but I've had 4 Sequoias and have liked all 4 of them. I currently own 2, a 2014 and 2021. The 2014 has 107k and runs just as well as the 2021. The engine is butter smooth. The interior is spacious. The ride is very comfortable. If you like to "feel the road" you won't like it. If you like the bumps smoothed out like I do, it's great. The turn radius is great...it drives smaller than it actually is, if that makes sense. The gas mileage isn't great but it takes regular unleaded and gets about 17 on the highway. It has plenty of power for passing/towing. I really like the cruise control as it's big and easy to find and adjust without looking at it. From what I've read, it seems to be one of the safest vehicles on the road with one of the lowest fatality rates. The V-8 engine is proven for longevity and reliability. Suffice it to say, I really like this generation Sequoia.

The best of its class
I have a Sequoia TRD Pro 2021. It is amazing with the comfortless for passengers. The look is old-fashioned, but in TRD Pro with Luna rock colour, it is a beautiful beast.

Not a quiet ride
This literally will have you at the gas station multiple Times a week! And its not a quiet ride and it jerks when shifting gears.. when you begin to accelerate from a stop it’s very sluggish
