6 speed transmission always shifting

The engine has great power, my problem is the transmission is always shifting up/down. It lugs so it downshifts, then it up shifts too quickly and lugs again. The only way to stop this is to shift to "S" and use it to manually shift. This works a bit better, but the trans even thought it is in "S" will still shift on its own. Toyota needs to immediately create a software fix for this problem. It is very annoying and prevents me from giving the truck a 5.

Nice Truck, Looks Good

The Tacoma is a pretty nice small truck. Towing capacity is only 6500 pounds (very small trailer), hauling capability is good and the rear seats are not all that comfortable. The technology offered is some of the best. Price is reasonable, Tacoma's hold their value. Not a really comfortable truck but the four-Wheel drive works well and traction control helps.

Seriously cheap and junky feeling

Went to test drive a Tacoma.. What a piece of cheap feeling junk! The fenders are chintzy and flex, the knobs on the interior are loose and the door panels flex horribly. The interior is cramped. Toyota still cant figure out how to make a decent seat height and for 40K you would expect height adjustable seats. The instruments look like fisher price designed them and the knobs feel like they are going to fall off. My GF's 2016 Toyota Corolla at half the price, feels like 3x the quality. Doors on the Taco close like they are made of paper.. Doesnt inspire confidence. What a shame. What are these idiots thinking? Dont bother.
