Audi Quality Throughout Without The Maintenance

2019 Audi e-tron
My primary reason for avoiding European vehicles is the outrageous cost to keep them on the road. My wife drives a VW ID.4 and loves it. With that bug planted in my head I discovered a '19 e-tron with 7k miles. From the moment I took off, I knew that somehow I'd own it.
Looking through the paperwork I discovered the original window sticker ... $80K. Yikes!! The asking price for this … one was $25k less, which made it even more desirable. I was able to negotiate a very favorable deal, and have never looked back. The bonus of already having a home charging system made this a virtual no-brainer. I've owned it for just over a month and am still amazed.
If there's one drawback, it's the over-engineering typical of German vehicles ... a bit of a learning curve, but I'm slowly mastering its operation. Between YouTube and a very patient Audi dealer, I've got the hang of it. Performance is outstanding ... smooth, quiet, incredibly responsive, what's expected of an Audi. Battery life isn't Tesla-esque but it tops around 230 miles ... and given my home charger, it presents no problem, not to mention that it's a hell-of-a-lot cheaper than gas.
Never did I expect to be tugged away from the Japanese luxury market (and I've owned them all), but never say never. There aren't many of these around, but if you come across one, go for it!
