Not sure how relatable this is, but have you ever just slammed a car’s door and knew instantly that you made the right choice? Okay maybe It took more than slamming my cars door to know, but I have to say when saw this vehicle I knew instantly that It would be the one for me lol
Let’s get into some pro and cons (spoiler mostly pros!)
I have the Kona N Line AWD and let me start off by … saying the N line package looks AMAZING on the Kona! It may be just a tad too aggressive for some considering the exterior doesn’t quite match the 190hp this engine makes and the rear spoiler might give this car a bit of a boy racer vibe. I personally love the look and this trim is the only one that that has exposed exhaust tips which is a must for me and the interior is a monumental upgrade from the previous generation Kona.
Pros
Excellent handling and corner for a car of this class. Only AWD models have all wheel independent suspension) hence the improved road manners
Sunroof is larger than most cars in this class
Now that the Kona is larger in length and width, there is far more space in the interior and in the hatch. The seats are able to fold down adding additional cargo space. I’m 5 foot 7 and 150 pounds and can lay in the back nicely with front seats move up a bit. Another plus! For long road trips where ya need to pull over to rest/sleep if needed
Lots of TECH! Easy to reach controls. Interior looks better than some luxury brands!
Peppy, adequate amount of low end torque
Spacious interior. It’s not quick, but is agile and responsive
Subjective but N line exterior looks aggressive and definitely has presence. Well Kona in particular have lots of road presence in my opinion. I personally love the N line exterior. With these package you get an aggressive front grill, exposed exhaust tips with a rear diffuser, massive rear spoiler, special N line rims, red accents in the interior, and acantara (mixed of faux leather and suede) lightly bolstered seats.
I believe the 2025 models are the first to have ambient lighting. You have about 60+ colors to choose from, love how it looks at night.
Cons
Turbo lag. It isn’t atrocious lag, but it is noticeable

Mpg is just okay. I’m getting maybe 22.5 city driving which is below average. Highway however i’m able to achieve 32 so above the expected 29
I feel the headlights don’t project nearly as far as other cars I’ve driven. They are bright and lights have a wide visibility but I feel they lack on how far they project

Final impressions
Hyundai nailed it with their Crossover model! It’s finally a proper Crossover and not a lifted hatchback. I do wish there was a bit more hp and tq, but for the price point you get TONS of tech and adequate performance which out performs most crossover in this segment
