2024 Kia Sportage Plug-In Hybrid
I looked at a range of SUV PHEVs; the very high 2024 Consumer Reports rating put this vehicle on my test drive list. Love everything about this vehicle, it won me over hands down compared with all competitors. One correction I need to make on other reviews - if the vehicle is taking 20+ hours to charge in a regular 110V outlet, the charging brick is probably not set to 1.2 KWh. The … default is 0.6 KWh. You can toggle the brick's KWh setting up to 1.2 KWh, halving the charging time. This allows the vehicle to fully charge overnight and boost the charge for a couple hours between runs/errands. It's a bit finicky getting the switch to set, but keep trying - once it's set, it should not go back to 0.6 KWh.
