2023 Lexus RX 350
I’ve owned the 2023 RX350 for the last 6 months and my experience so far has been amazing. I know previous V6 was better in terms of engine sound, but being a first time owner of the RX 350, I think it’s on par if not better than the competition, at least for the base engine. Yes the engine is a little loud when the engine is cold, but it gets better as the engine warms up and on the … highway. My personal opinion is that the technology is a great blend of old and new. You still have a physical volume knob and temperature control knobs blended into the infotainment. The ride is less floaty like the previous generation and feels much more planted and has the classic Lexus ride quality. The turbo 2.4l engine is peppy for city driving and even on the highway I have to catch myself from overspeeding. I understand some of the complaints from previous gen owners, but I think Lexus had to pull non-traditional Lexus moves to appeal to the younger audience and car experts who expected a along overdue overhaul with new tech and gizmos. At the end of the day, the key value proposition for Lexus is reliability and peaceful ownership and so far it’s been just that for me. I’ve driven my new vehicle for 10k miles in 5 months with zero issues and great service experience. Whenever a new gen of a car is launched, there are bound to be issues, and maybe I was lucky to not have experienced some of the issues consumers have reported. I would definitely recommend the RX350 for someone looking for a spacious SUV that is comfortable and has just enough power and torque to make rides to the grocery store fun and also looking to drive this car for a long time. If there was an option, I would have given this a 4.5.
