2025 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV
Admittedly, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But I love the Outlander looks, both inside and out. The seats for both my wife and me are the most comfortable and supportive in a vehicle we've ever had. It's my first foray into electric and you can tell this vehicle has been doing the PHEV thing for more than a decade as all of the switching is almost imperceptible to the driver. … Certainly there are sounds and a difference in power application from a regular gas engine but they are so minimal that it was shockingly easy to adjust.
The standard complaint of the tiny 3rd row truly isn't an issue for our situation. We almost always use the space with the 3rd row down but having the emergency ability to fit 7 people is always there unlike so many competitors. It's actually a massive strength and rain why we choose this car. And yes there is zero comfort for the 3rd row passengers but if it's only to be used in certain circumstances and the other 98% of the time it's converted into a large trunk space, it's a strength to us in our family of 4 situation.
The interior is just great. Plenty of tech. A cheap and simple USB dongle gives Android wireless and wireless charging, the stitching on the premium level seating is beautiful.
The ride is very quiet and tight.
If you do your research, you'll notice this is one of the most reliable PHEV's, tech that has been progressed longer than any other PHEV SUV, as it was the first, is incredibly comfortable and lacks in no area except if you want super fast performance. It provides plenty around town and in non aggressive driving situations.
For a family hauler with style and comfort, that can fit 7 people in a pinch, has plenty of all electric range and presents more of a value than any other in is class, this is a 10/10 choice.
