2006 Subaru Baja
Subaru really dropped the ball with its insistence on targeting 20-something males when marketing this vehicle. It's a GREAT car. With the midbody hatch, trips to the lumberyard are a breeze. I write in 2024, and my 2006 Baja still gets "will you sell it" inquiries everywhere I go. The Baja's especially handy if, like me, you live in a rural area, where you have to haul your own trash to … the dump. One other miss by Subaru was not to offer a cap for the cargo bed. I've been trying for ages to get an after-market cap, but they get snapped up just as soon as they're listed online. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, Subaru, bring Baja the trusty Baja (with a few improvements)! Have you not noticed that Hyunday has come out with a virtual copy of the ahead-of-its-time Baja?
