2025 Subaru Crosstrek
Just bought a brand new 2025 Wilderness for my wife primarily, but having driven it we might be fighting for the keys! We wanted to beat the tariffs so bought the car quickly without time for a test drive as the dealer is a long way from our home. I have never thought about Subaru before and never even sat in one, but I saw so many amazing reviews I started to see how good a choice this … would be. CR Reports rates Subaru as the top reliability of any brand. The top resale value not just in the sector but across every brand etc. Then I saw the Wilderness and I was hooked. Looks great, AWD, great ground clearance, feels very planted on the road, doesn't lean on corners, light but good steering and VERY comfortable seats and fantastic ride even on potholed, rural roads. I drive a Jaguar F Pace S - obviously the little Wilderness doesn't match it for speed - but it is pretty close when it comes to comfort which is amazing for a vehicle that cost less than CAN$40k vs $100+. And BTW people talk about it being a little slow - and the 2l engine probably is very slow, but the 2.5 is more than enough and feels pretty nippy in real world driving - and the Wilderness has some great low end torque. I would highly recommend one.
