My second Forester

2024 Subaru Forester
I went from owning and running a successful law firm to a government job in a much more expensive region at much lower pay (but no stress). The changed finances meant replacing my 2018 Mercedes-Benz E300 (fully loaded) for a base model 2021 Forester. I expected a penalty box, but enjoyed three years and over 60,000 trouble-free and comfortable miles.
Once off probation and making … enough more money to get a nicer car I didn’t even think of going back to a luxury brand, but bought a 2024 Forest, this time in Limited trim.
The new car is obviously much better equipped, but the basics are identical, which is a very good thing. These cars are smooth, quiet, comfortable and most importantly, reliable. My 2021 only required routine maintenance except for a set tires, which were the fault of road debris, not the car.
I plan to keep this one a lot more than three years at it really is as nice as my wife’s Mercedes GLC.
