2024 Toyota Corolla Hybrid
Just got this a couple of days ago. So... this is first impressions.
1. I like this car. Fit and finish is good.
2. It starts up quiet... The engine may not instantly turn on. If you are not coming from a hybrid, this might be a bit unnerving... because, except for the dash, you might not know it has "started."
3. It has PLENTY of pep. It can literally jump off the line, because … it really has two engines working at the same time... the gas one and the electric motor. Our other car is a Highlander with a V6, and I think this one gets off the line faster.
4. Mileage: I have 170 miles on the car so far. The car says MPG so far is 57-58 MPG. The gas gauge is just a fraction down from full. I like this. Normally, in my other cars, I would have stopped for a fuel stop by now.
5. Most of my driving is paved back roads... I do not like X ways... to many other drivers to anticipate what they will do. Speeds between 45 - 60. The car is quiet. It is difficult to tell when it switches from gas to electric and back. It is responsive... more so than the Highlander.
These cars at this time Mar 24, are difficult to find, and they are in demand. There is a reason for that, I think.
