Love the way this car drives, handles, and feels. Just over 6 foot tall and with seat in lowest position and reclined to my normal driving position, is a very nice fit. Decent telescopic steering range for my position, some vehicles don't offer as much if any making the reach awkward; not so with the Crown. Was immediately struck with the smooth controlled ride on the 225/55/19 tires. … Switching to 17" steel rims with a 225/65/17 the last 3.5 km of my daily commute on gravel, washboard, and pothole infested road has never been nicer. Driving in the dark to and from work, it was paramount that the headlights were top shelf, as animals abound on and off highway for the 40 minute commute, and they are super white with lots of reach, good width ditch to ditch, and just enough height to see and not offend oncoming traffic. The JBL stereo is not as rich as a Mark Levinson in the Lexus $140K hybrid AWD sedan, but is not edgy sounding like it was in the Rav4 and offers great detail, separation and image depending on the musical content, so perfectly adequate, and not as disappointing as car and driver may lead you to believe. Had I bought the 62K platinum, I might expect a notch better. Am able to achieve the 5.7L/100km EPA rating or better it if I'm careful, and that's driving with studded hakapellita 10 SUV tires in the early winter, a later review will follow this one. The comfort is great, unlike the 2023 Prius I tried which felt too narrow, and was annoying on the side of my right knee against console, felt like a mummy bag, where the crown offers great breathing and wiggle room. No noise from roof either, which is great, as my 2022 Rav4 off-road was quite loud with the factory rails, A/T falcon tires and sunroof at 100 km and above, so I kept the inner lid shut, and turned the radio up, and it was harsh sounding too, with a coarse choppy ride, but much better road feel than the 2021 Venza LE hybrid . The Crown is perhaps an unfair comparison, but it does justify its price. The trunk will fit 2 of your wheels, and the back seat the other 2 with room to spare, if you switch tires seasonally as I do. NOTE* 2019 and up Rav4 rims of 17" and up fit this car! With the padded ibuddy back seat cover for pets, from Amazon covering the back seat and door panels our 100lb dog is kept from decimating the otherwise lovely rear seats. It's a refreshing change from lesser cars, and will likely spoil me for future sedans other than equivalent Lexus and above. Better than my 2021 Camry SE, beats, equals, and exceeds the 2021 Venza LE, I also owned. The Crown is as quiet, but handles way better, and has actual road feel, whereas the Venza LE was really numb and felt more ambiguous at highway speed, especially in foul weather, and the LE headlights were dull and anaemic compared to the crown. For what Crown has done so far it's excellent, will give a report on how well it handles deep snow and ice later. The infotainment system has a slight learning curve, but is pretty intuitive, fast, and user friendly, read your manual if necessary🙂. Also, it's super nice to look at.
