2000 Toyota ECHO
I bought my daughter one (2002 4dr auto)for her 16th birthday about 2 hours away. I drove it home and just fell in love with it. It has 187000 on it and just had to replace the alternator, other than tires and oil changes nothing else. I bought a 2000 coupe stick shift, it has 265000 on it and it just keeps ticking. So, when my son turned 16 guess what he got?? 2005 coupe auto, it now … has 330000 miles on it!!! A 16 yr old boy can't even break it!!. I just love these little cars. They are light and get blown around a bit on the interstate, but I've gotten used to it. They just keep going! All of our cars have original engines and transmissions. I'm looking at a yaris now but they have drive by wire throttle and electric power steering and I'm afraid it won't be as bulletproof as my echo. Just loved these little cars!!! BTW I;m 6'1" and 250lbs and fit just fine.
