2004 Volkswagen GTI
I bought this brand new in July, 2004. For the ensuing 20 years it has been a excellent vehicle, never once stranding me. I do not drive it like a race car, so no pit crew is needed. I've kept it in fresh oil, but have done very little other maintenance. It currently has around 113K miles with the original brakes. I have had them inspected several times over the years. but various … mechanics have said there is no need to replace them (I have flushed/filled brake fluid a couple of times). The battery has been replaced a few times, and also tires. Everything still works.The car is a blast to drive. Not the fastest on the road, but handles well. It's quiet and comfortable with plenty of room for two. I'd buy another if VW still sold two door models. Highly recommended!
