I bought a 2022 VW ID.4 All Wheel Drive Pro S with Gradient from Herzog Meier about 2 months ago.
This is simply the best car I've ever owned. I was a Subaru owner for decades, but when they failed to take care of me after purchasing an Outback that was a lemon, I switched to a VW and got an AWD Gulf Alltrack. I LOVED that car. I thought I'd keep it forever. But I really wanted to … switch to an EV and the timing was right.
The ID.4 is SOOOO fun to drive, has tons of room, and handles beautifully. The software problems from the 2021 generation have been solved--NO issues at all on this car (except VW's app is kind of worthless, but that's ok!) I drive it everywhere (it's my only car) and have had no issues. I guess my only complaint is that I never want anyone else to drive b/c I LOVE LOVE LOVE driving this car!
If you heard anything about software issues, that's old news--only 2021s are impacted and those eventually will be fixed. My 2022 came with the updated software and it works great! I can't say enough good things about it!
