2020 Volkswagen Passat
I had a 2014 Passat TDI SEL. Was my first VW and I absolutely loved it. I sold it because I was nearing 90k miles and I didn’t wanna deal with any problems with DPF. That car was also losing all of its warranties. Warranties that saved me thousands, that car had a problem every year. But I did love her.
I bought a red 2020 Passat SEL. This car is drastically different on the outside … but the inside is the same old Passat we love. It doesn’t bother me, feels a little nostalgic. This car has many upgrades from the 2014 (blind spot, lane assist, automatic high beams, heated rear seats, parking sensors, automated cruise control etc). But two things that really surprised me are the fact that this car uses a prop rod to hold up the hood, and the fuel door doesn’t lock when the car is locked. What gives? Those were some of my favorite parts about my old vehicle. Guess the power folding mirrors and easy open kick trunk makes up for it. Also feels great to finally have LED headlights. So bright. They even do the little dance when you turn the vehicle on.
