The 2023 Volkswagen ID.4 is a fully electric small SUV with seating for five people. The ID.4 is available in four trim levels: Standard, Pro, Pro S and Pro S Plus. Most ID.4 models come with an 82-kWh battery pack and are available with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The new Standard trim comes with a 60-kWh battery and is only available with rear-wheel drive. On the RWD version, you get one electric motor and an output of 201 horsepower. The ID.4 comes so well equipped that we don't think you need to venture too far into the lineup. We'd pick the Pro trim for the larger battery, and if you need more power and traction, you can always add all-wheel drive to get that second motor.
