Good All Around and Great Price
Can't believe I'm the first to write one of these for 2021. This car is mostly overlooked but is worth the time and test drive. Dollar for Dollar it's as good as all the other brands and better than some. It's better than the Camry for sure. It's bigger than the Mazda 6, Sonata and K5 but not as nice looking especially on the inside. However, This car is comfortable and in the SE trim you get everything you need or similar to what the Accord gives you in an EX-L trim for thousands less. The engine is typical VW fantastic. No turbo lag at all and good gas mileage. Took a 1300 mile road trip and averaged around 35 mpg on the HWY going about 78 mph. In mixed spirited driving you'll see close to 30 mpg maybe a bit less. All in all the car has all the features you need such as emergency braking, radar cruise, apple car play, and a regular sunroof which is what I like.... I hate those large moonroofs. The car looks nice on the outside with fantastic looking wheels. Those Giti tires which I had never heard of seem to do the job just fine in rain or dry conditions. The only few negatives are: 1. The multimedia is smaller than others but has all the same functions... and it actually sounds better than most of the other standard radios in it's class. 2. The front seats can't adjust for tilt in SE trim but it's not real bad... just annoying. 3. The steering wheel is a bit thin but shaped nicely. 4. The interior design is a bit dull from even the previous model... weird how they would go backwards on something like this... All in all with paid for maintenance and good predicted reliability I think this is a great car that drives like a German car should. These are just more fun than the others..don't know why and how.

Acceleration problem
19k later, four visits to the dealership with no solution supplied Video with the acceleration over 5 thousand RPMs and barely getting speed. Tech found a small oil lear from the turbo seal car that had 5k on it then. Tech recommends turning off driver assistance BS. Long story short car has 19k, and the problem still exists.

I love my Passat
I don't understand all the hate for this car. I love my Passat. I came from a 2017 Jetta, and my 2021 Passat feels exactly like my old Jetta (just much more massive). This thing is HUGE, you could EASILY fit 4-5 people in this car for a long road trip with no complaints about legroom. And for its size, the gas mileage is pretty incredible (I got 38 mpg while highway driving on a 100-mile road trip). Sure, you're not going to win any races in a Passat, but you shouldn't be considering a Passat if your primary goal is to be the fastest on the road. The ONLY thing I miss in this car is a manual transmission. If Volkswagen sold this car with a stick-shift, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one. I feel safe in this car. The ride is smooth. I LOVE the way it looks (and maybe I'm biased since it looks so much like my old Jetta). And I got a great deal on my car. I'm very happy with my purchase!

always loved the passat
I traded my 2014 limited edition passat away for the 2021 SE and I really cant complain the new car has more features then the older one and the engine is a little bigger and i can definitely tell the power difference its a sexy looking car especially with the rims one negative is that i wish they still had the option of the V6 it would definitely give the car the pick up and go everyone wants. The interior is plain and simple but that's what everyone wants now a days. It has amazing space which you can never go wrong with and the gas mileage is amazing i can go about 550 miles from full to when it about to notify me that i need to get gas and at that point i still have 55 miles to go. I have one other negative in the base all the way up to the r-line is the fake leather it would be cool to see the leather colored differently then just black or brown i know color dye is a thing and different colors are fun and can let customers express themselves a little

Could be better with isolation
I like Passat but Road and Wind noise more than it’s class competitors. Would Be better with double layer windows.
