  • Excellent service!

    5 out of 5 starsby DEHuffs19_ on 11/20/2018

Buying a car can be very stressful and nobody likes to be at a dealership all day! We started looking online and then got contacted by Ivan Torres. Ivan invited us in to come in promising no hassle. He was ready when we arrived and took great care of us. He had the car ready for us by the time we got there, and gave us a great deal on it as well!! Fast and very friendly. We got a trade in quote in only a few minutes to give us a quote ( day before we spent close to 2 hrs at another place for them to appraise our car) . Smoothest car purchase I've had.

  • Service

    4 out of 5 starsby silverado_2 on 04/13/2018

I purchased my 2016 truck from Courtesy Chevrolet and recently I've been hearing some weird sounds when turning the steering wheel to the right and left. The first time, my service advisor (Karen B.) indicated to me the problem and that was fixed and well taken care of. The next couple of weeks the sound came back again. Only, this time it was while turning the steering wheel to the left anytime I was bringing the truck out of a parking space in reverse. The service technician that Karen B. had asked to speak to me about the problem, informed me that what I was hearing was normal and that there was nothing that can be done. I was grateful for the advice, however, a couple of days later the sound got worse (it was the sound a balloon makes when you rub your hand on it). I didn't want to bring the truck into Courtesy again because I felt that I would be wasting their time and I didn't want to be a problem. So instead, last week, I decided to take my vehicle to Firestone. The Firestone technicians diagnosed the issue indicating the suspension system and the struts needed to be serviced. The technician even stated something was going on with the leaf bearings/bushings etc. After Firestone diagnosed the concern, one of the service technicians referred me to a service technician at a different Chevrolet retailer. The service technician at the other Chevrolet retailer I was referred to was able to determine the problem and determined the problem was exactly how the Firestone technician explained it. The technician at the other Chevrolet retailer made an appointment for me to bring in my truck for repair. I still am providing the four star review for the service advisor especially considering Courtesy had more than five technicians test drive the truck and justified that there was nothing that could be done. So the four star rating was due to the friendly staff and friendly service. Unfortunately, I will only be taking my vehicle to the other Chevrolet retailer that I was referred to for now on.

  • World Class New Car Buying Experience

5 out of 5 starsby Ejhalvo on 10/09/2017

I had a world class new car buying experience. I would like to thank GM Scott Gruwell, Director Steve Rimer and Salesmen Alex Padron for the VERY BEST new car buying experience. The folks at Courtesy Chevrolet are in their own league compared to all of the auto dealerships that I've worked with. Why? Because of their passionate commitment to ensuring that all of their customers are taken care of. Bottom line: Courtesy Chevrolet does right by the customer. There is a reason why it is the #1 Chevy dealership in the entire Southwest. Go see Salemen Alex Padron. Alex cared about one thing and that is me--the customer. He did most of the listening and let me do most of the talking. That is what a customer wants.
    • We cannot thank you enough for your wonderful review of Courtesy Chevrolet! It was a pleasure to assist you and please let us know when we can do so again! Best, Scott Gruwell - sales@courtesychev.com

  • Couldn't ask for better

    5 out of 5 starsby Mike_Braddy on 10/06/2017

In a pinch, needing to make a difficult situation work I found Mike Kildoo and Courtesy Chevy. I told Mike my situation and in a few hours he and I had an agreement on a deal that saved me. Mike told me straight with no BS while being friendly and genuine. I had to trust them since no one else where I live nor in the LA area could make the pieces come together. My wife and I just got back after the long round trip from Palm Springs. The car I got from them after they paid off my trade-in was better then I thought it would be. Driving home it purred it's way across the desert getting great gas mileage, driving without a single issue at high speeds. Mike and everyone there earned my business and you should give them yours. I know they didn't make a lot on my business today but it didn't matter they just wanted to help. I guarantee you I won't go anywhere else. I get to sleep all night free from the stress induced insomnia thanks to Mike Kildoo and Courtesy Chevy.
    • Thank you for your great review! Congratulations on your new car. We're glad to have Mike on our team and that we could provide you with a positive experience. If you ever need anything in the future, please don't hesitate to let us know. Take care! Best, Scott Gruwell - sales@courtesychev.com

  • Should have learned the first time

1 out of 5 starsby tlcuster on 08/02/2017

Bought a BRAND new 2017 3500 Diesel Silverado HD (special order) from Courtesy in January. 1st Service Visit – needed first oil change and alignment. Waited 4.5 hours - was told there were no courtesy vehicles available, but the shuttle did take me to run an errand during this time. Once the truck was ready, it still had not been washed, but I couldn’t wait any longer. Upon arriving home, we found greasy handprints all around the hood and a 5-inch gash on the hood from a service tech’s ring. I had to take the truck back the next day, a Saturday, for them to repair and repaint the hood. It took until Wednesday to complete as they had to wait for new hood emblems to come in. At least they corrected the situation, but this should have never happened. 2nd Service Visit - AC stopped blowing cold air. Brought the truck in Monday and was given a ride home by the courtesy shuttle. They called that afternoon to let me know the issue was not covered under warranty due to damage, so was quoted $1189 for the repair. Agreed to the repair, and even called back a second time to confirm the total as I wanted to pay cash. Was called on Tuesday afternoon, and updated that the truck was ready. Requested the courtesy shuttle pick me up at 2:37pm (they confirmed at 2:46pm they were on the way) and arrived at the service department shortly after 4pm. (Both of my shuttle drivers (Eric and Tanner) were extremely pleasant.) My total bill price was different than I was quoted and was asked to wait to speak to the manager. I was irritated about the billing discrepancy, but while I was waiting, they pulled the truck up, and once again it was not washed. The driver that brought my truck up tried to tell me “they had a new car wash and my truck would not fit in the car wash.” The driver grudgingly left to “hand wash” the truck and I was left to WAIT again. After the first visit, I was ensured that vehicles are washed on every service appointment unless otherwise specified to not wash. You would think after the first service visit incident (and my $1200 bill this time), they would treat you like a VIP when you returned, but that was not the case. What made it even worse, was everyone had an excuse or blamed someone else or didn’t seem to care. The manager said he would take care of the bill, but then recanted, saying “let me see what I can do” and I was left to WAIT again. He finally came back and had taken $174 off my bill, but if it was just about the money, I wouldn’t have gotten the repair done in the first place. This location is over 30 miles from my house and I drive by several other Chevy dealers to get here, but expected to be treated like family after purchasing our truck here. Instead, it feels like the service department employees just see the customers as walking dollar signs, and have no concern for your time or your vehicle. I guess I should have learned my lesson the first time with the Courtesy Service Department. I removed my license plate cover and “Courtesy Chevy sticker” from our truck, as I will no longer be an advertisement for them. I would not recommend the Courtesy Service Department, and do not recommend buying your vehicle here if you are loyal to your dealer. They will not be loyal to you.

  • Bait & Switch - Actual Customer Review

    1 out of 5 starsby Joseph_401 on 06/02/2017

First off I'm going to say two things one that their advertised prices are not their real prices...and the second is that I am the easiest person to sell as long as your honest. I had been to a few dealerships and was doing my proper consumer research, getting bids on various mustangs from different places. I was almost set on a 2016 V6 convertible mustang at another dealership when I saw the advertised price for a $19,000 V6 hard top mustang at Courtesy Chevrolet. The reviews looked good so I uber'ed over at around 7pm thinking it'd be a great experience. Looked at the car, all checked out, and went to buy. Immediately the sales guy comes back with $19,000 plus $2,900 in DEALER fees, prior to all the sales tax, license plate, etc. fees. So $21,900 prior to taxes etc...not the advertised $19,000. Honesty goes a long way, so I told him I wasn't interest unless we knocked off those fees, and I showed him I had 20K in my account right now for a new car and I was buying either this car or the other. While the sales man was busy, I see the used car sales manager go to the floor for another group trying to purchase a car, hit with the sticker shock that (and I mean this verbatim), "We have fees because we list the prices lower online because if we didn't list at that price, you wouldn't have come in.". So for the next 2 hours I pushed for a specific set of demands, and let them keep on 30% of the fees if they threw on a full 5 year / 60K bumper to bumper warranty. Finally the sales guy takes me to the sales manager, and after some teeth pulling I got them to say yes, because it was the end of the month and they were trying to make their goal of the 300th car sold for that month, and the sales guy was trying to get his ($1,750) 20th sale car bonus. So I asked for the 172 point inspection report (which the salesman never got) and I sign the docs to move the deal forward some time after close, and everyone was leaving at it (sales guy disappeared somewhere to get that inspection report) was ultimately me and the finance lady (who is easiest one of the nicest people there), and while I understand dealers do falsify their prices, this is where my review takes a nose dive. It's almost midnight at this point and she's asks me if they I had wanted the 5yr / 60K bumper to bumper warranty, which according to my verbal agreement with both the sales manager and sales guy wasn't on the paper, they only had the minimum warranty on there, not the full bumper to bumper. Now whether this is an honest mistake or not, I ended up getting hit up for the difference which was an extra $3,000 after I had signed as I was under the impression the contract was to our verbal agreement. So I was left with decision to decline the warranty and be left with a car with minimum coverage, or pay an additional 3K because I had already signed the contract. After explaining it to the finance manager (who was super nice and understanding), pushed it down to only 1.5K, but the fact I had to still pay an EXTRA unexpected 1.5K on an agreement that I had confirmed with both the sales manager and sales floor guy is incredibly unprofessional. It was pushing almost midnight when I finally got the financing taken care of and had only one key to the car (they couldn't find the other and were going to give it to me the next day along with the detail etc since it was so late). As I'm leaving the sales guy finally appears, no 172 point inspection report. I explain to him I wasn't happy with having to pay the extra 1.5K after signing, and he shrugs it off, not offering to fix it, anything. I don't blame him for wanting to get out of there since it was almost midnight, but in a situation like this, you fix it. You don't shrug it off. I helped him get his 20th car $1,750 bonus check, helped the used sales floor hit their 300th car, and I got stuck with an additional $1,500 ontop of the deal we agreed to. Doesn't seem right. The cherry on top, was finally when I took possession of the car, the sales guy didn't remove the stickers and documents taped to the windshield, and when I asked if he could remove them he said they were easy to peel off. The numbers definitely were, but the documents were impossible so I left them on and drove home. Came back the next day to get my 2nd key, still no inspection report, brought it up again (he said he'd get it, but didn't and went to lunch), and got the complimentary detail where they finally removed the papers and stickers. Got the car back, noticed there was a plastic grip piece missing from one of the cup holders, and the sales guy said to go across the street to the Ford dealership to get it fixed. I help dealerships in Norway sell cars through a social media app I built, so I have worked with quite a few dealerships but never heard of anyone having to pay extra after a deal has been signed and agreed upon, so maybe it was an honest mistake on their end? Either way, to anyone reading this, just know you're going to pay well above the advertised price, and you may get charged extra after the deal. In hindsight it would have been better to go the other dealership I was considering, but again I don't know if it was an honest mistake, but after bringing it up twice I believe it to be intentional. If that extra 1.5K I was charged was put towards the car, I'd be happier with the outcome, because I'd of gotten the deal I signed for, not the deal I got. It appears they are more number oriented than people oriented. While I always tend to give others the benefit of the doubt, I was certainly let down in this instance.
