    I went in the day and oil change was a bit longer than usual- this is not a problem because my service rep Ardvan was pleasing, chill and acknowledged and apologized in advance regarding the wait. Awesome customer service quick speedy nice. He now joins my team of favorites: Luis, Rudy & now Ardvan!

    Service Technician Carl Frances, first office on the right bay is an excellent service technician. I could tell he was very knowledgeable about the Odyssey. He asked me questions I could understand. He promised to keep me advised and he did. I consider him my personal service tech and will ask for him in the future. The next time I buy a car...I will buy another Honda from Gwinnett Honda...my 3rd one. 😀

    BEWARE! This dealership treated me very poorly and were dishonest. I feel compelled to share my experience. 1) I negotiated a verbal price for a new Honda with Chris. However, when it came time to finalize the sale, Chris disappeared. Another sales person returned and said that they couldn't honor the agreed upon price. They wanted to renegotiate. 2) They claimed that my old car had major transmission problems, and after making a show of not even wanting to accept the trade-in, offered me an unbelievably low price. According to them, the car would slip when going from High to Low gear. You should have seen their eyes get huge when I explained that I had an extended warranty. When I took my current car to the manufacturer the next morning, the service folks found nothing wrong. They explained that if you tried to shift gears at too fast of a speed, of course the transmission would seem to slip. This led me to believe that Gwinnet Place Honda made up a "problem" with my old car that was verifiable, but that I wouldn't necessary realize was normal. It caused me to waste my time and resources trying to fix a problem that did not exist. 3) I had an Edmond's guaranteed price that Gwinnett Place Honda made a big deal about honoring. However, the car they tried to sell me had extra options. They let me drive this car without explaining that the options would cost extra. They should have been upfront that they did not have a car in stock with my preferred options. Please be careful of the sales tactics here. They were very friendly, but proved to be untrustworthy. I am very glad I walked out that Friday night. I found a better priced new vehicle and traded my old car for more than double what Gwinnett Place Honda offered me somewhere else.

  • Pre trip inspection and corrective action

    My service advisor Luis and the GPH technicians determined that the rack and pinion mechanism was leaking fluid as well as the CV boots. All were replaced prior to my 800+ mile trip to Florida. Everything worked well on my 11 year old Ridgeline with 126K miles.

    Traded in my 2002 Odyssey EX with 209,700 miles last week for the 2018 EX, White Diamond Pearl with Mocha interior. I loved my old one but I had an urge for new technology and comfort. So far, I love my new one!! I didn't bother looking at any other Minivan because I knew I wanted another Odyssey. I also really like the styling of this one. 2 weeks and 230 miles of ownership, and I've gotten 3 comments from people saying my van looks nice!! The seats are super comfy and supportive, everything on the interior seems high quality and not cheap at all. Practicality is this van's strong point, cup holders and storage compartments everywhere!! I hate clutter, so I can neatly store and organize all my junk in the door compartments and under the seats. I'm most impressed with how this van drives, the steering is a little stiff with good road feel, minimal oversteer. along with a buttery smooth transmission gear changes and superbly quiet cabin even at high speed! I'm a huge fan of the gauge cluster...it looks modern and cool, but easy to see while not distracting my eyes from the road. My only complaint so far is cosmetic and completely subjective; the wheels. They aren't cheaply made, just not a fan of the design. I am planning to upgrade to 19 inch rims. I love my new Odyssey and look forward to driving it on lots of road trips in the future!!

    Submitted an inquiry on a new Honda Accord via Edmunds. Chat from Gwinnett Place Honda called within minutes. Over the next two days we came to an agreement on price over the phone that was exactly in line with what Edmunds told me to expect. Cha also worked with me on accessories and was a complete professional! Upon arrival, Cha was able to give me a great value on my trade-in and then expedite the rest of the sales experience as I was on a tight timeline. However, despite my rush, Cha remained right on point in meeting all my expectations and actually surpassing them! Love my new Accord Touring and would highly recommend Cha and the team at Gwinnett Place!! Well done!!

    It was a surprisingly easy and enjoyable experience. Joseph is incredibly knowledgeable and was GREAT to work with. One of my co-workers needs a new car and I, of course, suggested going to Gwinnett Place Honda and working with Joseoh. It was very easy discussing prices and financing options.

    My Experience here was nothing less than perfect Denis O understands what good customer service is and how to provide it. This was my first experience with Gwinnett place Honda for maintainence issues and I was a little leary dealing with a Major Dealer for service. However I had no choice due to a minor manufacturer recall. I will return for regular service requirements. Thanks Again Denis Oc

    Had to bring in a 2010 Civic for airbag recall. Service set up my time on my schedule. I was greeted promptly and service was completed in an hour. Friendly staff, great coffee, and free Wi-Fi made this one of the best service calls ever!
  • Bait and switch

    Watch out for this unscrupulous dealership. I confirmed the details of an order point by point four separate times, and got a firm quote from their salesman Joseph Snover. Sent a signed check to them for a car, then was told the VIN was wrong, and they had to send it back. (They didn't actually send it until a week later when I asked them what was taking so long). When the car got there and I was ready to pay, the sales manager Joseph Shin calls and pulls the old bait and switch- we gave you the wrong quote, it's actually 4 grand more, do you still want the car, etc. Reading other reviews, it seems like I wasn't alone in this. [non-permissible content removed] They're not the only Honda dealer in Atlanta.

    First off, I would like to say that James S was very knowledgeable about Hondas and very helpful with me. Also second, the manager Sam was very helpful to me as well and they really got me into the car that I was looking for. I really do appreciate James S and Sam very much.
  • A Refreshing Car Dealership and Service Experience

    After having a horrible experience at another Honda dealership, I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional customer service and experience at Gwinnett Place Honda -- especially thanks to Ali Shigri, a Service Advisor at the location. In late December I learned my engine block was cracked; my 2007 Honda Civic EX did have an extended warranty on the issue but unfortunately I was outside of the 10 years by 1 year. The other Honda location basically said too bad and not to contact them unless I wanted them to replace my engine for well over $3000.00. However, when I took it to Ali, he went above and beyond to contact Honda headquarters and see if they could help me as my car only has 111,000 miles on it. In the meantime, he let me have a loaner car so I could continue to get around Atlanta easily during the holiday season. I was so relieved. Honda couldn't cover me 100% but they offered me a significant discount since the issue was typically under the warranty extension. During the fix, Gwinnet Place Honda also found that one of my engine mounts was completely broken and my O2 sensor was rusted beyond use. They made the repairs quickly and I had my car back within 10 days. Ali was very upfront and honest with me and kept me posted on my vehicle regularly. I am so impressed by the fact that he did all of this for me as a general customer as I had never been to this location before. I will be taking my car here for any future repairs and if I do choose to buy another car it will also be at Gwinnett Place Honda! Thank you, Ali!
  • Extrimally bad experience with dealership!!!

    Externally bad experience with dealership !!!!!!! Not because of price but the way it all went. I called Manager upfront day before for price and was assured to match price. I went there , spent 3 hours and at the end was told there was miscommunication and we can’t offer the same price. I was told that we are the biggest dealer in having car stock and even if they don’t have the same color car, they will arrange without charge and will give loner car till my car reaches dealership. When I asked for the same at dealership next morning , they simply denied saying we are not sure who called and why he promised like that. They even asked me to pay transfer fee for car to get it from some other dealer ship. I would not recommend any one to go there . I wasted half day of my life there.

    Unhappy with my experience, I've bought Hondas from all 3 major Honda dealers in Atlanta, and this was the most disappointing experience. They give the lowest price over the internet, but then try to add a ridiculous amount of overpriced accessories and a totally fabricated dealer fee when you go to purchase. The worst part of the experience was with the financing. Marquis Taylor handled our purchase and though friendly and outgoing, was ultimately very dishonest and misleading. We had our own financing but because it was 10 at night we planned on changing the approved amount the following day. He led us down a path of financing the vehicle with Honda Financial Services stating that we could just replace the financing with our own bank/rate thereafter. What he didn't mention was that the dealer wouldn't honor this as the original financing, and that doing this would be refinancing (not a new auto loan) and that the interest rate would not be as favorable. Overall he didn't explain this one bit despite the fact that we insisted we had our own financing - and what he omitted to disclose was truly a dishonest practice. It would have been easy enough to wait a day and finish the purchase/financing with the loan for the new approved amount.

    Yesterday my wife and I purchased our 20th vehicle, a 2017 Honda Ridgeline from Gwinnett Place Honda in Duluth, GA. I have never written a review for a dealership, but our experience was so special that I wanted to take the time to acknowledge the team that made this the best car buying experience that we have ever had. We had made the decision to trade in our 2008 Jeep for a more versatile mid-size truck. We had been out of the auto market for 9 years, and knew that we had a lot to catch up on. I spent a couple of weeks researching vehicles, dealers and inventories, and started communicating directly with a handful of select dealers based on their in-stock vehicles and the number and quality of their online reviews. One of these dealers was Gwinnett Place Honda in Duluth, where we wanted to check out the 2017 Honda Ridgeline. So I contacted Zach Blanchard, one of the dealership’s Internet sales representatives, and set up an appointment to check out the vehicle. In all my communications with Zach on email, phone and text, he was always responsive, courteous and helpful. When we arrived at the dealership for our session, Zach immediately met us. We did not have to go find him or ask for him – he was outside waiting for us. We spent the next hour or so with Zach learning about the Ridgeline and test-driving it. Zach was just the right kind of professional you hope to get. He knew everything there was to know about the Ridgeline RTL-T and was clearly excited to share that knowledge and excitement with us. He walked us through all the new technologies and features that had been incorporated into the vehicle and patiently explained everything clearly to us. We were very impressed with his respectful approach, friendliness, enthusiasm for the products he was representing, complete professionalism, and above all, the fact that he did not pressure us at any point in our meeting. We had no intention of purchasing a vehicle that day. But as we talked about the various levels of trim, options, capabilities and price points, it became clear that the vehicle he showed us was actually a near perfect fit for what we wanted, a great balance between features and cost. Zach worked the appraisal of our trade in, and worked with his management team to create a deal that was a win-win for all of us. Based on his work, we made the buy decision, then, we spent time with Angele Pacheco who walked us through all the additional options we could consider before handing us off to Marquis Taylor, the finance manager who finished the purchase process. These three made it as easy as buying any vehicle can ever be! Buying a car can be a very daunting experience. It takes a lot of time even if you are prepared, and it matters how the dealership treats you during the lengthy process. Gwinnett Place Honda “gets it!” The showroom floor is spotless, the restrooms are clean, Starbuck’s Coffee is provided free of charge, and customers are treated as guests. It’s just a nice place to do business. So I will end where I began by stating that this 20th vehicle purchase was our best experience ever at any dealership, and that is a tribute to the management and the employees who work there. These days, customers are better prepared than ever, and they have more options to consider. Our business must be earned, and that is exactly what Zach and the Gwinnett Place Honda team did - they earned our trust and respect, and ultimately, our business. This is a five star dealership, and worth your consideration if you are ever in the market for a new quality vehicle! And if you go there, ask for Zach!
