Excellent Service Experience!

The technician discovered a leaky axle seal which I really appreciate the thoroughness of his work. The Service Manager suggested a couple of… other maintenance recommendations; but, was not pushy whatsoever. Overall, this was an amazing experience; and it’s very apparent these people take pride in their work and keeping your car in tip-top shape. Recently, I had the pleasure of engaging with Zeigler Chevrolet to resolve an issue, and I am compelled to share my gratitude for their exceptional service. Despite… not making a purchase, the support and assistance I received were truly commendable. Service repair
by Barb B on 03/23/2024I got my front brakes done and after a few weeks they were still pretty rough when I stopped. The dealer looked at and tested the brakes and it turned out the rotors were faulty. They fixed everything at no cost to me. I appreciate that… they listen to me and honor their warranties. They have had the same service people for many years which tells me Ziegler is a good place to work for.Barb, we are very happy to have provided you with such a positive experience! Less sneaky than other dealerships
by Tommy D on 03/16/2024Buying a car is never easy and personal budgets usually get thrown out the window when you add gap insurance, force you to get LoJack, full warranty etc. This place didn’t push the sale, however they did casually act like everything was the… way it’s supposed to be. I do love the car so I’m glad I bought my 2019 Mercedes GLA250. Unfortunately I smacked it into a tree on a foggy/rainy day but I had a great autobody place that fixed even the plastic seat back that was out of place and couldn’t be manually put in when it was sold to me (but that’s a different review Herrick Auto in Crystal Lake). I’m also happy that Ziegler is confident in Mercedes parts and services, which I haven’t needed yet.We appreciate you taking the time to leave us this feedback. Amazing service

Bait and Switch and outright lies
by chris c on 01/15/2024Well, like most others here, I wish I had seen these ratings before blowing most of my day today in the lovely -6 degree weather. Called and talked to Karla about a vehicle on the website. She confirmed the price is EXACTLY what it was… listed for plus tax, title, and admin fee. I specifically asked if there were ANY add ons or other fees involved. She, of course, said no. I, even told her if I showed up and there was a $500 "nitrogen" fill of my tires or a "$300 pinstripe", I would lose my mind. She assured me that would not be the case. Drove 1.5 hours and then the shenanigans began. "Sir that price listed is with all incentives applied and you only qualify for one". Baloney. The price listed on the website mentions NOTHING remotely indicating that. Then began the Lojack $2400 hard sell and of course a $2995 service contract of some kind. Then more made up [non-permissible content removed] about how the car has a deposit from someone WITH the Lojack, and if I could MEET that price we might be able to get to a "mutually beneficial" agreement. Yeah, that sounds like a great way to do business! My wife and I then walked out and will never return. I have had some great experiences with some dealers in the area, and some pretty bad ones. This is one of the worst I have had.We are deeply sorry for any inconvenience. We have reached out multiple times, and would love a second chance. All of our packages are optional. We would love to sell the vehicle to you for online price plus tax, title, & license. Our online price is our best price. Please give us a call at your earliest convenience.

Plenty of diversions to keep kids from getting bored. They had cars in stock whereas other… dealers were waiting for theirs to get delivered. Bait & Switch
by Disgusted with Zeigler on 08/16/2023This dealership had the audacity to mandate an optional $4800 add-on package and originally would not sell me the vehicle unless i paid for it. They also told me that my interest rate was not solely contingent on my credit score, but it… would only be lowered if I purchased an additional $3500 warranty package. This dealership had conflicting narratives and would tell me one thing up front, and as soon as it was time to start paperwork, they would tell me something completely different. There were many bait and switch tactics used to attempt to sell me a vehicle, and I spoke with another customer in the dealership who also experienced the same. Many of their alleged policies & promises are not in writing. Their finance team is not to be trusted. And neither is their social media/customer relations manager The day after i left, their social Media/Customer Relations Manager attempted to rectify the situation and asked if I would still be interested in the vehicle if they could offer me either a better deal on the car or a better interest rate. She calls back a few minutes later and attempts to sell me the car for over $4000 more than it was the day before. Since i refused to purchase the $4800 package, they increased the price of the vehicle overnight, attempted to sell it to me at a higher price, and then she tells me that it was a good deal. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALERSHIP.Hello Alfonzo, We are sorry for any miscommunication that may have happened. We did offer you the internet price on your initial visit. We then spoke to you the next day after you were upset, and we offered you the internet price. Then our General Manager called, and offered you the internet price as well. We are sorry about the miscommunication about outside financing. However, we assured you that you could still purchase the vehicle or any other vehicle on our website that you liked. We would love to have you in again. If you have any questions, you can always give us a call.
