My 2023 Corvette stingray

The order taking in delivery was as promised. Instructions about the car were given in fact twice. All questions were answered and I feel comfortable that in the future if I have further questions, they also will be answered. My car drives… like a dream in the ordering process was easy without any mistakes. Dr. B.

DO NOT BUY FROM CASTLE
by kstarzec on 05/01/2010I was shopping the internet for used cars, and one caught my eye. It was at Castle Chevy in Villa park. The price was great and the color was right. I went in to see and test drive the car, while doing so I noticed that the face frame of… the radio was missing. When I asked if the service department would be able to fix it, they said of course. I also jokingly asked if the car was a V8 to which Kristina, a different sales lady, answered Yes! The car is a V4, so obviously these people have no idea what they are talking about. When I returned the following week to purchase the car, Ivan, the sales man, had me test drive the car again. When I asked why the price of the car was so low, Ivan responded by saying it was priced to sell. I did not buy this, so I continued asking questions about accident history, serious problem with the car, and so on. I was reassured that there was nothing wrong with the car multiple times. I was also promised that the radio frame would be fixed in a quick manner. After we finally came to an agreement on the monthly payment, I was rushed into the waiting room, so that someone could be put at the desk where I was at. After escorting me to the waiting room, I didn't here back from Ivan until it was time to sign the paperwork(This was about 2 hours later). I was then given a written contract for the radio being fixed, and was told that I would be given a call in tow or three days on when to come in for the radio to be fixed. I never received a call and when I finally called to check on the status I was told that they were not able to find a radio kit for my model car, and that the cheapest estimate they got was around $800. I was then told that I should try to find a place that could fix it, and that the dealership would pay for it. I found a place the next day($400 was their estimate), and I called and spoke with the general manager. He then told me that $400 was ridiculous. I told him that I had talked with numerous people at the dealership and no one was able to find a face plate for less than $800. Terry, the general manager, then called me a liar and started yelling at me. He then hung up the phone without any notice. I received a call back a few days later saying they found the radio kit and for me to come in asap. When I arrived I was ignored by everyone on the sales floor, and had to basically figure everything out myself. While I was in the waiting room, Terry walked past me about 6 times without looking at me or saying a word. I feel as though this dealership only cares about getting your money and getting you out as soon as possible. I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone, unless you are looking for major problems and attitude. After my experience, I would not take a car from Castle if they were giving it to me for free. Please stay away from here, it is worth it to spend an extra $500 but be treated like a human being with respect.Great experiance with the sales person

I came from the automotive and servise industries with many years in sales so I can spot a good… sales person when I see one and Steve is the real deal!Spent several hours at this dealership and although I did not end up buying a car, I have a fond memory of this place and recommend it to anyone looking to buy a new or used car.Pleased with customer service

Though the purchase wasn't even finalized that day, we were still obviously… important to the staff at Castle. The service manager came out to talk with us, too, which was not even necessary, but very appreciated. I would recommend these guys because they don't push, they work to earn the sale, honestly, if the vehicle is a match for the need.I'm happy.

by blueshark1 on 04/10/2010After just having an car accident I was looking everywhere to find a replacement car with little to o money to help me, after going to about 12 dealers I ended up at Castle on my first visit there I was determinded to never go back after I… was ignored but the tall salesmen with glasses. When he finally acknowledged me i seemed to be a bother to him, so after seeing 1 car i left. But by chance another car brought me back to Castle and thanks to the help and understanding of the hard situation I was in salesman Ryan Sitter and his finance manager were able to help me out and give me the service I was expecting to receive on my original visit. I would recommend giving them a chance just make sure you ask for Ryan first. =)Highly recommended.

by dareg08 on 09/12/2009Avoid Castle Chevrolet at all costs! I inquired from another state about a used vehicle in their inventory and was assured on multiple occasions by their "Internet Manager" that the vehicle had not been wrecked or repainted for any other… reasons. I then spent over $500 in airfare to arrive at their location with the intent of purchasing the vehicle and driving it home to Kansas. Upon arrival I was immediately urged to sign paperwork and pay for the vehicle before even inspecting it in person. I refused, of course, and once I was allowed to inspect the car the salesman avoided having me walk around the vehicle in sunlight, only allowing me at first to view it in the service bay. After insisting upon seeing it outside I observed very obvious overspray on several areas of the car, and the front door and hood would not even latch properly. It was now obvious to me that they were simply risking my time and money to see if I would go ahead and take a previously wrecked car rather than returning home and starting my search over -- the salesman understood that I was preparing for a cross-country move and only had that weekend to purchase a vehicle. I have been in the retail car industry myself for almost 20 years, I know what questions to ask and I was very explicit in phone and email conversations regarding the condition of the vehicle. Nothing was left open for interpretation. I was lied to, plain and simple. When I complained about being misled the "manager" responded with, "If you are just trying to get a better deal, forget it, that's as low as I'm going to go." He also explained the shoddy paintwork and overspray by saying, "My salesman told me you were particular, so we were only doing what you asked of us by trying to make it look as good as possible" (in other words, it's MY fault). To make matters worse, they left me on my own for a ride back to the airport, where I spent additional $$ having to fly home. Even though I have spent my working life in this business, I thought these kinds of experiences with car dealers only occurred in movies, or maybe in the 1970's. They were aware that I was a "car guy" myself and still pulled this on me. I can't imagine what they attempt with less experienced buyers. Unbelievable.Funny, since writing my authentic review there seems to be a flurry of positive reviews about this dealership, and when you Google "Castle Chevrolet review" you seem to see the same "customers" posting these reviews at several different sites. Wow, I've neither witnessed nor heard of such impressive advocacy on the part of happy customers. Hmmmmmm.........

That has pulled my score down. This was a very upsetting to me and I was willing to purchase a car for my daughter in 2 months and I don't think I will be coming back to castle. Edmund lied about running my credit. That's why I don't like dealing with car dealerships no one is TRULY honest it's all about selling carssales

They also gave us free lifetime oil changes and tires for life. Check the reviews and dont waste… your time with other guys these guys are the best!!maintenance
