Great Sales Experience

Classic has always been honest, friendly, and helpful. We spoke with… Rubin Rodriguez who spent time explaining the new features on the car. He introduced us to Randy Meyer, who drove the model we were looking at and give us first hand experience. He even let me drive his personal car! Both sales representatives answered questions and looked up more information, if necessary. I stopped in numerous times with more questions, as they were always very accommodating. Three of our children also work with Classic, and are very pleased with care and service of the dealership. No Title after Purchasing a Vehicle 97 days ago
by used_car_buy on 09/26/2016I purchased a vehicle mid-June from Classic Toyota and as of the end of September a title has still not been provided to my lender. I only learned of this issue when my lender reached out on day 97, telling me I was in breach of my… contract for not providing a title and as a result they would be raising my interest rate from 2.49% to 11.99%. While I dont claim to be an attorney, any reasonable person would have the expectation for a title to be delivered from the dealership by now. So a quick search on the Secretary of State website says: By law, a dealer has 20 days to send your title, transfer and sales tax to the Secretary of States office. (https://www.cyberdriveillinois.com/publications/pdf_publications/sos_dop141.pdf). To recap, a dealer has TWENTY days to provide a title (per Secretary of State) and we are at NINETY-SEVEN . Almost 5 times the allowed length and the issue is still ongoing. Issues this created for me 1- My lender threatened to raise my interest rate from 2.49% to 11.99% 2- According to the Secretary of State, my registration is not valid without the title. They advised me to drive with a Bill of Sale in case I get pulled over. Classic Toyota: 1- Never made any attempt to alert me that there was a delay with the title. I learned of this issue only through my LENDER on day 97. 2- Never provided an explanation other than we have very little control over it since the financing is done by Toyota Financial 3- Never extended an apology This was my experience, take it for what it is. You may have no issues if you to do business with Classic Toyota. Whether you buy a used vehicle from Classic Toyota, another dealership, or a private party I would urge you to know your rights. After going through this exercise many times I still ended up going to Classic. Over the 30+ years, I have purchased 5… Camry's and 1 Corolla (for the wife) from Classic, this time I decided to buy the 2016 RAV4. The only change this time is I decided to save me the time and aggravation by going directly to Classic without shopping around. My Sales Consultant, Kevin Michelson and the Sales Manager Jim Hudson both made the experience very easy and hassle free. Kevin made a great first impression with me by not being a pushy salesman who knew how to treat a customer and who knew his product line. As a side note, my wife HATES buying a car and dealing with salesmen. After the purchase was made she even complimented Kevin for making this purchase the most pleasant she has ever experienced. Classic Toyota should be used as a benchmark for other dealerships on how to treat and service customers. Each staff member that I came in contact with had the same positive attitude that Kevin and Jim displayed. Scratched the car, wouldn't offer help, and were rude.
by Cory_Smash on 04/28/2016My wife had her 2010 Scion Xd serviced today at Classic Toyota After getting an oil change, she returned to her car to find the hood of her car and roof had fresh scratches. These are large and deep scratches that are obviously new (please… see attached photos). When she brought this to the the attention of the service advisor, Jerry O.Brien and the manager they both told me they would not accept responsibility and were very rude to her. This is ridiculous and I am livid and my wife is upset. You just lost business from two loyal customers that have coming there for over a year.Great Sales and Finance People

Kevin Michelson helped me into a brand new 2015 Scion tC, which was a huge leap from my old rust bucket from 1996. I knew what I was looking for and Kevin… helped me get what I wanted. His knowledge on all the options and the vehicle's competitors to help me make a sound decision while getting the most out of my new car. The staff at Classic were very inviting and the whole building had a family-like presence. I would rate it at a 5 star level of service and experience. I have never bought a new car before, but since I have found Classic, I believe that I have found my car dealership for my life time. I love Toyota's in their functionality and their fuel sipping engines. I don't think I will ever buy anything else.
