CRAP SHOOT-SERVICE
by J S on 05/19/2023DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE FOR SERVICE-IT’S A CRAP SHOOT! Dishonest/Lying/Misleading! Not going to give many details-you don’t want to hear them. Vehicle was towed in with simple check engine light on. Emily said they might get to it in 3… weeks, 3 1/2 weeks later said it needed a transmission & they were booked up for another 4 months & we were welcome to come get it & take it somewhere else. Yada Yada Yada. We picked it up about an hour later & went to another big well known dealer for our business. Yes I was rude to them on the phone-as rude as anyone would be who’s charged almost $300 for basically storing the car for almost a month, diagnostic fee for reaching under the dash & reading a code scanner. REALLY!? Ashame-we’ve had the same car there for service before that was acceptable, slow but acceptable, no complaints before. Of course there’s more to it but it doesn’t matter. Don’t know how long Emily has been in this line of customer service work-she’d have a better career cleaning houses or something.Gullo Ford

Worst car buying experience

I still don't have a clue why the sales person so rude and insulting when dealing with a simple car sale discussion from first sight till last. I bought a pre-owned cadillac escalade platinum here. Adam… was very hard to work with. When asked a basic question on Escalade 3rd row, he says he is not a cadillac designer ( as If I am a fool to ask ) and similar was the dry response for the entire dealing. Worst part, after all paperwork, I gave check, the car had a check engine light which I pointed out and then I was blamed for that check engine light saying during my test drive, when I reved the car to hear engine soundness, that caused the check engine light which was a total B.S bocz after they temporarily clearing the check engine light, it came back 3 days after delivery. Then car had 3 more major issues, it was advertised with all options workings. I didn't even drive 100 miles, check engine light was on, transmission error. 1. Check engine 2. the adaptive cruise dont work or nor regular cruise 3. The center control LCD's bottom half screen touch does not work 4. Parking assist dont work. When I reached out to same sales rep and texted these issue, they refused to respond, reached out to dealer manager no one responds.We are sorry you are not happy about your experience in purchasing your Escalade. You purchased the vehicle completely AS-IS and were also shown and signed a Carfax, a We Owe stating nothing owed or due, a Memorandum of Understanding of a Non-Warranty Sale stating the AS-Is condition. It has been noted you purchased a Extended Service Plan and then cancelled it a few days later. You contacted the Mgr and he also gave you the opportunity to return the vehicle which you declined. You are certainly welcome to come in and review the documents you agreed to or you may come in and trade the vehicle for another which if you are not happy with the vehicle you can do at any dealership. Again, our apologies for your disappointment with the vehicle you chose. Sincerely, The Mgmt.

I towed my 2007 Ford Escape Hybrid to the dealership after the engine stalled in the middle of the Interstate with a Stop safely now sign on. Within a week they… told me that I had to replace the DC/DC converter. I trusted them but luckily I bought an used part which saved me over $2000! That did not resolve the issue though. They kept my vehicle for nearly two months w/o any resolution. I even provided them with a compiled list of error causes which I researched for hours on the internet. No success. Most of the time I had to call them to get an status update what a terrible customer service! After five weeks I wrote an email to the regional manager in order to get Ford Motor Company involved (I asked for the provision of an experienced field technician and a loaner). Both requests were denied by referring to an internal Ford policy which does not provide these services for vehicles older than 10y. Apparently, Ford is not able or willing to resolve security issues of their own vehicles so much about their comittment to customers and hybrid technology. In the end, the dealership made me still pay nearly $1000 for labor and parts although the vehicle was not running! Scandalous! Brought the vehicle to an independent garage which diagnosed and fixed the issue (series of damaged wiring harness) within 48h for less than Gullo charged me. Also they confirmed my suspicion that the replacement of the DC/DC converter was unnecessary the damaged wiring harness caused the error code and the DC DC converter not to work. Scandalous! I wrote them an email to ask for a refund but they just evaded by saying how much labor they have not charged me for. Two lessons learned: 1) Ford Motor Company is not comitted to its vehicles once they are outside the warranty period and provided no support despite an obvious security issue and lack of repair progress at the dealership. This was the last Ford vehicle I have purchased! 2) The Hybrid technicians at Gullo are unqualified, discouraged and inexperienced. I never felt appreciated, adequately adviced and supported by Gullo Ford neither by their certified technicians nor by their service manager and service advisors. In a nutshell:I am highly disappointed and will never return! If edmunds allowed me to give 0 stars I certainly would do so!Lothar, I am truly sorry to hear of all this. I know you are disappointing with Ford as well as with us and encourage you to reach out to our service manager Richard, would be more than happy to address all the concerns and questions you have at 936-442-4528.

Nathaniel knew his product well and was able to address my questions well. I visited several times and the other… salesmen kindly located him for me. The sales manager thoroughly discussed all the rebates and final net price, which was exactly the price on the web site. Clean-up occurred while paperwork was being handled and didnt take long. In the end, Nathaniel even drove the truck to my house for me. Great job.
