by fred176 on 07/11/2014I called about an oil change, and was told no appointment necessary. Vanessa scheduled me when I came in and the car went back for service within 30 minutes. The car was brought out reasonably quickly. Arriving customers pulled in and… blocked my exit. I asked one of the service managers to get a car moved and he said to back up 3 car lengths and drive around them. As I began to extricate my Yukon, two customers came out to help direct me so I wouldn't hit the steel posts on the passenger side or scrape the car on the left. After folding my mirror, I escaped with barely an inch of clearance. Next time I will have the service department get my car out.Happy Concerned Customer
by Reynoe on 06/26/2014Jaime was our assigned to our 2011 GMC Acadia and did a great job letting us know the status on our vehicle, as well as taking care of everything internally(My Wife wished the car would have been washed after been at your shop for 2 weeks).… Nevertheless I am very happy with the level of service Beck & Masten have provided, but very disappointed with my Acadia as I have own numerous new and used cars and never experienced all the issues I have had with this vehicle. I have had both motor mounds replace on two different occasions, A/C went out, motor replaced, twice in for alignment (2nd time Beck replace both struts). About a year ago all the coolant was gone on a trip, and as I do frequently while operating my vehicles I check on gages and notice it has running hotter than normal and pull into an auto parts store and come to find out I put 2 1/2 gal of coolant. I took it to Beck for a recall on coolant system and they informed me that everything check out normal and did not replace the recall, have not had issues for coolant since. Please understand my frustration and very well grounded concerns as I am about to reach my 100,000 mile warranty and we are not ready to purchase a new vehicle or spend additional money on ongoing issues with my 2011 GMC Acadia. Saw the vehicle on the Internet and called in to ask if the vehicle was there, the good thing is he said it was available and actually I could here him walk outside to check.He also offered to call me if… something had changed.I had bad experiences before. You drive 1 hour to see the vehicle and they always tell you it's there, and when you get there they say, Sorry somebody just purchased it,but I can show you something else. When I finally got to the dealership the Internet Manager showed me the vehicle and the process was so smooth without the pushing and bullying to buy the truck.It was great experience. I will definitely buy from the Internet Department again.I'm done with the pushing around.BIGBOB11

by rumad2 on 05/06/2009Bought a used 08 Infiniti FX35 on April 7, 2009. Vehicle was inspected by AutoExam in Houston on that day. Vehicle checked out with no damage. Took car back to dealership and informed them that when spouce gets of work this evening, will… pickup car. Saleman said he would have it detailed and ready when we arrived. Upon arrival, went over and signed papers to drive it home. While walking back to car, noticed a dent and scraped mirror that had not been there prior to having it inspected and me leaving it. At first, salesman said we can fix it. then shortly after that, saleman said sorry, papers already signed and I'll have to pay to have it done. The damage is in the 800. range. I have bought over a 100 cars in the past and have never had an incident of the any type before. I definally would not recommend this dealership or any dealership with this name on it. Like the old saying, "Shame on you the first time -- Shame on me the second time. With the economy and depressed auto sales so bad, seams they would have bent over backwards to make things right especially since I buy a couple of cars a year. I guess they want to rip you off and not have repeat buyers.Buyer Beware - Bait And Switch

We asked for internet quotes from all dealers within Houston and the surrounding areas (up to Austin & San Antonio). We were very specific about… vehicle trim, color and option packages. After reviewing all quotes, we chose the cheapest one which was from Beck & Masten GMC. Before driving the 40+ miles over there, I called to ensure there were no mis-understandings. The internet manager assured me the vehicle was as described and quoted with all options (including DVD player). He mentioned he was able to give us such a great deal because these were used as player cars in the Shell Houston Open, recently played here in Houston. After driving all the way over there, we found the vehicle as described, except it did not have the DVD player. This was a classic 'bait and switch' tactic. We needed to purchase a new vehicle and had driven all the way over there already, so I'm ashamed to admit that we purchased the vehicle. I wrote a strong letter to the owners, letting them know we felt cheated and lied to. I had hoped that they would have offered to install the DVD player as they had quoted, but no follow up - only a heartless I'm sorry. I hope everyone knows that when you are dealing with this dealer, they are not honest and will try all tactics they can. I urge you to take you business elsewhere and maybe they will learn the art of customer service.Broken promises

Went in on Friday for test drive and was happy with car. No heavy in your face sales pitch. Enrique did a good presentation. I… went home to do a little more research and price shopping at other dealers. Found lower price at a couple of other dealers. After some negotiations, they matched prices. Come Monday deal was done. Fast. Again, no hard sales pressure on add ons. They made their pitch and let me decide. Said no.They had to get color I wanted from another location and I came back Tuesday to a bright shiny new GMC Terrain.Pleased

I had no intention on going into Beck and Masten. My spouse talked me into it and what a deal we… got. The deal came right along with politeness and putting the customer first.
